Poses
Alexandra Poses is a visual artist and housing strategist based in Miami, Florida. She is the founder of Exelant, home of the Absurd Ambient Almanac of Alliterative Analog Associations.
Informed by the shape of sound, her work translates gesture into form using both hand and machine — with no decoration (or hesitation), only data-driven interpretation and opportunistic emulation.
Purpose
Born into a family of artists, Alexandra has always drawn dumb little pictures and valued context as currency. She cooked through an education in urban planning and economics, intentionally falling in love with the who, what, when, and why of wheres, and the resource inequities that drive their difference.
Her impactful yet turbulent career as a housing strategist ex-machina has focused on maximizing the adequacy, access, and affordability of housing and information.
Currently completing a Certificate in Advanced Data Science focused on machine learning and AI applications, Alexandra is the modeling the language between sound and visual output and occupation-level hazard posed by AI.
Process
Alexandra’s process blends:
- Analog drawing (ink, paper, gesture)
- Procreate and Photoshop
- Open APIs and Python's ML libraries
From gesture to object, every step is about translating movement and sound into meaning.
Her strategy is a seamless a direct-to-customer workflow that combines personal narrative, technological tools, and product design. Each Almanac drop is both an archive and an invitation—to participate in absurd meaning-mak
Practice
